DIVERSE FOUNDATION - Letitia Splain Dayer, a native of Saratoga Springs, New York, earned a Bachelor in Design & Art Education from the University of Florida. Since her college years she has done extensive studies in design, fine art, and expressive arts as well as organizational development, psychology and spiritual studies. Letitia has worked as a fine artist, designer, author, poet, media producer, teacher, coach and workshop facilitator. An example of her diverse talents can be found at the Delmar Wellness Center where you can learn more about "Serena," the guided meditation recording that Letitia co-authored, illustrated and narrated.
EARLY EXPLORATIONS - Early in her career, Letitia worked as a graphic designer and art director for a diverse clientele, applying her creative talents through electronic as well as print media. Concurrently she owned and operated a fine art gallery in Saratoga exhibiting her fine art as well as others' works. In the early 1990's she turned her creative energy to the restoration of her 1785 home where she still resides today with her teenage daughter, Kathleen, also a budding artist.
INTO THE NEW CENTURY - Since the mid 1990's Letitia has focused her creative energies primarily on creativity workshops and expressive art painting, often working in association with the New York Expressive Arts Studio in Albany in Albany. After more than a decade of quietly pursuing her painting and poetry, the artist now returns to exhibiting her original paintings and Giclee reproductions as well as making her images available as affordable art cards and poster prints.
